Council Meeting in the Library Feb. 7th
Come join us for our school council meeting tomorrow in the new library. We will find out about what has been happening in the school and with the school Board, our logo/mascot contest and discussing upcoming events.

The Food Order forms for the second term have been sent home. They are due February 5th. The term 2 Milk begins February 12th; Pizza, February 15th; and Subway, February 23rd.

Come join us for our November Council meeting this Wednesday 7pm in the staff room. The teacher representative and Ms McLeod will talk about school happenings, construction updates and present the new on-line payment system the Board is implementing. We will also be discussing upcoming Council events including our bake sale and movie night.

This is an awesome event presented by the Briargreen School Council in hopes that we can raise funds, relax, play, reconnect and meet students and families. An added bonus is that someone else will cook dinner!

Donations of any nut-free baked goods are extremely appreciated. Please send individually wrapped items with your child on Tuesday, Sept 19th or bring the items to the table after school. This table sells out quickly so the more the better!
We cannot run this fun event without the help of many hands. While the food is being cooked by Grillmaster Express, we do need volunteers to help with the bake sale, ticket sales and food distribution as well as set-up and clean-up.

Just a reminder that the first school council meeting of the year is this Wednesday September 13th at 7pm. Mrs McLeod will be giving a short tour of the school, discussing school happenings and the status of the construction. Everyone is welcome.
We will be doing the Council elections so be sure to fill in the Candidate Declaration form in the Council newsletter if you’d like to be a voting member of the Council. We are also looking for a new Chair and co-treasurers if you know of anyone interested.

The Council is a great way to meet other families, hear school happenings and help participate in your child’s education. Feel free to bring any questions or suggestions to the meeting.
